Some evil entity calling him or her self Mike Furir has been spamming my comments to such a degree, I've shut the comments off until I can set a secure registration scheme on the site. If you have comments or suggestions for such a scheme pleae email me at cul |at| deeperwants |dot| com.
UPDATE:
With the sage help of my best friend, Mr Z, I think I managed to set up the comments to block 95% of what spam occurs by renaming some files from their common name and reconfiguring the .cgi files that run this MT program I use to create this blog.
To those people who have had their comments accepted on this site before, I apologize that you will have to allow one interception that makes your comment subject to approval before your comment will appear. If you make sure to click the radio button on the comment box to remember your id, you won't have to go through the approval bit again. Thanx for your patience.
.: cul:. April 11, 2006 04:42 PMI've been having the same problem for several months. I've been fairly successful with blocking "Mike" by adding the last name to my keyword junk filter (part of the default install of MT 3.2).
